There are 2 halves to this property one is a 3 bedroomed gite whilst the other is a 3 bedroomed family home. The door you see to the right of the picture is the connecting door between them. Originally this was bricked up. I reinstated the door. We decided that the wall needed some storage along it as well. It was decided to redesign and reshape the staircase and downstairs shower room. The stairs ran through the end of the room at a steep angle and cut into a lot of the hallway upstairs. Whereas the shower room was larger than it needed to be. The cutting down on the size of the shower room and building a new staircase with a 180 degree turn meant that the space upstairs could be utilised effectively and the staircase felt a lot safer. As a bit of fun the door to the shower room was concealed as a part of the bookcase - can you spot it?
